Welcome to the Interactive Design Assistant!
To begin, draw a closed-loop path on the input canvas.
You can choose between freehand and Bezier curve drawing modes using the
dropdown menu. For Freehand drawing, simply click and drag to
create your desired shape. For Bezier curves, click on the input
canvas to set a starting point, then click again and drag to define the
shape. Once you close the path, it will be submitted automatically. You
can then adjust the control points of the Bezier curve to modify the
shape.
Use the dropdown menus below to select the distance measure used for
local post-optimization (Chamfer or Hausdorff), the
number of samples to be drawn from the NPE posterior, and the
visualization mode for the posterior samples.
A higher number of posterior samples may lead to more accurate paths but
will increase the computation time. The parallel coordinate plot of the
posterior samples can either show all samples with their distance to the
target path or visualize the best 25% of samples with their designated
clusters, with unassigned samples shown as outliers in gray.
After submitting a path and querying the NPE model, the path of the
best-performing posterior sample will be shown. The best sample from each
cluster will be subjected to local post-optimization, which becomes
available shortly afterward and can be toggled using the "Optimized"
checkbox. The slider allows you to adjust the animation speed of the
actuated four-bar mechanism.
